Auslan
Auslan is short for Australian sign language, a language developed by, and for, Australians who are deaf or hearing impaired. It’s a visual form of communication that uses hand, arm and body movements to convey meaning. When attending Auslan sessions, your child be introduced to the beautiful world of sign language where fundamental communication skills are acquired including greetings, and the Auslan fingerspelling alphabet. The exploration of deaf culture and inclusion of people with a disability is also a wonderful learning experience that children delve into.
